Steven A. Vasilev
Steven Anatol Vasilev, MD, FACOG, FACS, (born July 17, 1954) is a gynecologist and obstetrician.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=American College of Surgeons )〕
Vasilev is of Russian descent, received his MD degree from the Keck School at the University of Southern California and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the USC-Los Angeles County Women's Hospital and USC Kenneth Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=womens cancer questions|information|answers|Dr Vasilev )〕 He also holds a MBA degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and became Clinical Professor at the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine in 2002. From 1997 to 1998, he was Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Residence at the UC Irvine School of Medicine.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=UCI Catalogue: College of Medicine )〕 Vasilev is Chief of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Service and Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Director at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Kaiser Permanente )〕 From 1991 to 1997, he served as Director of Gynecologic Oncology at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, California.
Vasilev is a proponent of minimally invasive (laparoscopic) cancer surgery and has and published research on surgical procedures and treatments.
